Classes for the Florally Curious - Manchester Flower School

Florally Curious beginners are most welcome at this flower school in Manchester.  Call it what you will, floristry, flower arranging, floral artistry (pretentious), I don't mind.  Flowers are not a dark art, but I do like them done well.  If you've been to our classes before, you're most welcome to return. You'll know the form. Newbies will soon figure out how it all comes together.  Either way, the cake is marvellous.

We now offer two types of classes.
- Classes for the Florally Curious
- Classes for the Florally Curious - The Wedding Series

Beginners, regulars and newcomers are welcome across all of them.

For the Classes for the Florally Curious I work with the seasons.  I go with what inspires me.  I only really decide what I'm doing once I've been to market to purchase the blooms. Sometimes we use Oasis, sometimes we don't. Occassionally there's more containers than flowers. That's because we look at styling. Sometimes there's no containers at all. That's just the way it is.  This allows me to keep you inspired.   Or else, it's same old, same old.  Nobody needs that.

The Wedding Series is new.  There are four classes. All focussed on a handy wedding flower skill.  These classes are item specific.  Buttonholes. Hand tied bouquet*. Water based centrepiece.  Oasis based centrepiece.   Ta da!  We won't be making massive designs, more things that are simple and easy to manage for a DIYer.  (Take it from someone who did their own wedding blooms, keep it simple, keep it lovely.)  We'll use seasonal blooms and foliages that I choose from market which allows me to keep costs down.  Expect a little bit more intensity of pace at these classes.  6.30pm start prompt.  Cue music - I'm thinking 'Under Pressure' - Queen not those Irish brothers from the X-Factor.  *Bouquet with be a bridesmaids bouquet, simply due to time.

Here's the list of new dates.  I'm yet to draw up the classes that I'll be running at them yet, but will do so in the next few weeks.
